WebSphere Transformation Extender for Message Broker
(WTXMB) is new extension to WebSphere Message Broker (WMB)
provides additional complex data transformation capabilities
and support for industry formats leveraging the WTX mapping
sets. It can process custom data and system types such as
binary, hierarchical, semi-structured, and mixed-format data
sets, as well as FTP and SMTP protocols. It has proven success
across a wide range of industries from finance and global
commerce to pharmaceuticals. Parsing support and a WTX mapping
node are added in this extension.
Current WebSphere Message Broker customers can be benefited
to handle the hardest, ugliest transformation challenges
complex, semi-structured, interdependent and disparate data
types. While some users will find the Map node built into
WebSphere Message Broker v6 — or any of the Broker's other
transformation options such as XSLT, ESQL Compute, or Java
Compute to be suitable for their needs, others with more
complex transformation requirements, will see significant
additional value in WTX.
In particular, companies with complex requirements
involving EDI and HIPAA or mixed data may find significant
value. Companies with existing WTX skills may also see value
in deploying WTX as their "standard" transformation option for
all Broker transformation interactions. In addition, customers
with existing WTX mapping assets can leverage those assets in
the Message Broker environment, avoiding the cost associate
with duplicating previous development efforts.
Existing WTX customers can leverage the WTXMB technology as
part of integration using WMB and a powerful enterprise
service bus (ESB) solution, which offers complex event
processing, publish and subscribe services, scalability,
extensible architecture, Web services support, native
transformation capabilities, and native support for many
industry standard formats.
